There are also 1000's of recreational vacation rental properties in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, that are losing reservations because of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster. In Louisiana fishing camps have lost value or in some cases, they have been rendered worthless by the Deep Water Oil Spill.

The Gulf Oil Spill Help was created to be the leading resource and advocate in the US for individuals impacted by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster. The group is now saying, "we are launching a recreational property, vacation rental property, and fishing camp initiative for Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama & Florida property owners-whose property values could impacted by the oil spill, or they could be losing rental property, or vacation rental property income.. Our big fear is-the oil gets into Louisiana bayou's, or other Gulf State waterfront areas & it kills everything it comes into contact with-rendering the vacation rental property, fishing camp/recreational property worthless-or greatly devalued-or unrentable."

The Gulf Oil Spill Help Center is saying, "unlike the Alaskan coastline near Valdez-the Gulf of New Mexico-its shore lines & these bayou's are very, very fragile-----in some cases the bayou's are like sponges-----it could take decades to clean this mess up----in the mean time what do these property owners do?"
